Next week I’m going back to one of the most important foods from my childhood.

Cachupa is much more than a recipe to me, so I don’t want to simply give people a list of ingredients.

I want to talk about the dish, Cape Verde, the different ways people make it and what I remember about eating it growing up.

Then, I’ll make mine.
